WebbFor your small fan, you don't need to worry about the resistor overheating. So, either connect a resistor in series with the fan, maybe try starting out with 100 ohms and see where that gets you. Or buy a potentiometer, 500 ohms or 1000 ohms should be a suitable range to adjust in, and connect it in series with the fan.
